About the event:

Univ Hackathon is a two-day developer event and hackathon hosted by 247code and Chambros Digital Pty Ltd, in partnership with universities. We are inviting aspiring developers to create web and/or mobile app which could help solve some of the university’s toughest problems, and innovate solutions from complex computational problems to the creative use of games and social networking:

• Improving the collection and study of university data
• Providing information and/or technologies to students
• Indexing library and other university data
• Improving university processes and procedures
• Storing survey data better, or speeding up survey data processing

This event is open to all developers, especially those based in nearby cities. This is a FREE event, no charge for admission, but registration is required. Transportation (bus from Makati to IRRI), food and accommodation will be provided for FREE for registered participants only.

How to join:

1. Form a team of 2-4 members in advance. If you don’t have a team going to the hackathon, you are encouraged to find other hackathoners who don’t have any teams yet.
2. Sign-up through our hackathon page and provide the following details:
   1. Application name and description
   2. Team name
   3. Team members
3. Get ready with your ideas for your app. Teams are allowed to have pre-work. You can also start working on your app on the day of the hackathon itself.
4. At the end of the hackathon, all the groups registered for the hackathon will need to present their app via a live demo in random order. Teams who are not registered cannot do a live demo and will not be eligible for any of the prizes.

Awards and Prizes: Awesome prizes will be given to hackathon winners. We also have freebies will to all registered participants.
